Rick Santorum is McHatin on people’s Rights. (Superbad reference for those who don’t get it.)
I will be bringing several contributing authors on board to share their views. We already have a few in the works, but if you are interested in contributing to The American Idle. Let me know.
The United States has never had more oil or gasoline than it does today. Production is up and consumption is down, yet prices continue to climb. So how does that make any sense at all, you may ask?
Don’t blame Former-President Bush. Don’t blame President Obama. Gas price increases are neither due to supply v. demand, nor speculation. It’s because value of the U.S. Dollar is dropping.
Here is an excerpt from an article on Real Clear Politics (March 6th, 2012).
Mr. Woodhill illustrated this point by comparing how much gold is required to buy a barrel of West Texas Intermediate crude oil today, and for 41 years past. Currently, it takes 0.0602 ounces of gold to buy a barrel of “black gold.”
“Today’s WTI price (in gold) is only 82 percent of its average for the past 41 years,” he said.
The amount of gold required to buy a barrel of oil hasn’t changed much. But 41 years ago, you could buy an ounce of gold for $35, a barrel of WTI for $3.56, Mr. Woodhill noted.

So why is the value of the Dollar dropping? INFLATION. The Federal Reserve keeps printing money and it’s watering down the purchasing power of the Dollar and it’s destroying the middle class.
Since 1913, the U.S. Dollar has lost about 99% of it’s purchasing power. A gold and silver-backed currency would stop inflation and return the value of the Dollar.
George knew the problem. But now, people are waking up from the dream.
Regardless of what the Mainstream Media propaganda machine wants you to know and hear, one thing is perfectly clear; an emergence of a viable third party is finally visible. Standing on a platform of personal liberty, sound money, and non-interventionist foreign policy, Ron Paul has finally garnished enough support from Americans to split away from the defunct Republican Party.
Santorum – The Conservative flip-flopper
Gingrich – The Moderate flip-flopper
Romney – The GRAND status quo flip-flopper
There is hypocrisy in both the Democrat and Republican parties, but this current election season shows just how far off-base the Republicans are now. Only Ron Paul stands apart from the pack.
Some Republicans are mad, and they should be. Paul’s making them look like the idiots they have become.

It is simple, yet imperative, that these major issues be addressed. In doing so, the economy will flourish, and faith will be restored to Our Nation.
The other day, someone told me that the U.S. Constitution was “an old, out-dated document.” I just happen to disagree… a lot.
First post. Hooray!
